Join Veggie Mijas and Patagonia for a winter-themed clothing swap on Friday, December 3rd, 6:30-8:30pm at the Patagonia Georgetown store! Bring up to 15 items (and hangers to hang your clothes if possible!) to swap with others. Please remember to bring winter-appropriate clothing (e.g. coats, sweaters, tee-shirts, long sleeves, pants, scarves, gloves, hats, shoes, boots, snow gear, baby clothes; no undergarments). We also ask that you clean your garments before bringing it for swapping. Clothing that is not swapped will be donated to Casa Ruby!
Light food and drinks will be provided.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, capacity is limited for this event to 30 participants to ensure the safety of our staff and event guests. Registration is not required but would be great to know who all is coming. Attendance will also vary with the rotation of guests! Click the RSVP button at the top of this page to sign up.

The Veggie Mijas DC Chapter strives to continue the national collective’s goals of creating spaces for people to connect through recipes, experiences, and knowledge on food and environmental justice. Though we are a newly established chapter, we hope to plan events in collaboration with other BIPOC-led organizations such as group volunteering days, plant-based events, and clothing swaps.
The primary goal of the event is to provide a space for Veggie Mijas’ and Patagonia DC community members a place to swap their winter clothes in their own community. In addition to hosting an event are to host an event that promotes sustainability and to donate gently used and un-swapped clothing back into the community.
